Northwood and Ruislip United Synagogues vote to merge

Northwood & Ruislip United Synagogue

Yesterday was a pivotal day for Northwood and its future, it was the day when we secured the future of our community for many years to come.

99% of those members who completed the feedback form approved the recommendations of your Honorary Officers and Synagogue Council that we merge with Ruislip to form the Northwood and Ruislip United Synagogue. Of those who voted in Ruislip, 92% were in favour of the merger.

Chairman Alan Moss said: over 80 members came yesterday to our SGM, when I hope that any outstanding questions that you may have had, were answered. It was a lovely atmosphere, and I think one of celebration when we realised that we now have a secure and bright future. The hard work now begins!

We will come back to you shortly with our merger plans for the coming months, what we do know is, we will need your help in our planning which will enable us to bring together Northwood and Ruislip.

But that is for tomorrow, today, let us celebrate what will be a wonderful new community.
